Choose the coverage before the equipment
Describe your daily routes, vehicle layout, and recording priorities. Ask which actual camera models are available and what their specifications support. Front-only, front-and-rear, and parking-related functions require different equipment and planning.
Discuss placement and the power arrangement
Camera position, cable routing, visibility, and the proposed power connection belong in the estimate. Ask how any parking-related recording would be powered and what protection or settings are involved. Do not assume every camera includes parking recording or that every vehicle supports the same approach.
Review the recording workflow
Ask about the correct memory card, recording settings, and how to find or export footage. Confirm any application requirements for the selected model. A clear handoff should cover normal operation, storage management, and checking that the camera is recording as expected.
Understand the limits
A camera cannot capture every event or guarantee useful footage in every condition. Discuss placement and settings while parked, and review the applicable guidance for your intended use. The dashboard image is a related receiver concept, not an exact dash-camera installation example.
